Who provides Mawnitor
Mawnitor (https://app.mawnitor.io) is provided by Monkeys at Work, a business in Canada ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between us and you, the person or business using it. By signing in, connecting a site or installing Mawnitor, you accept them. If you accept them for a business, you confirm you may do so on its behalf.
What Mawnitor does, and does not do
Mawnitor reads websites and online stores and tells you what changed. It does not change their themes, files, settings or products.
It can miss a change or report one late, for example when a site turns it away or a platform does not answer. It is not a backup, a security service or an uptime monitor, so keep your own backups and protections.
Accounts
Each team member signs in with their own email address and password, and is responsible for what is done with their sign-in. Keep your password to yourself. Account owners decide who joins and what each person can do. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
Connecting sites
Connect only sites you have the right to connect. An agency that connects a client's site confirms it has the client's permission to do so, and to share what Mawnitor finds with the people it chooses. Store owners and site administrators approve access on their own store or site, and can withdraw it there at any time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Mawnitor for anything unlawful.
- Connect sites you have no right to connect.
- Interfere with the service, overload it, or try to get around its protections.
- Resell Mawnitor, or give others access to it, without our written agreement.
Other services
Shopify, WordPress, Google and Slack have their own terms, which govern your use of them. You can disconnect any of them from Mawnitor at any time. We are not responsible for those services, or for changes they make that affect Mawnitor.
Fees
Mawnitor is free during early access. We will tell you in advance before we charge for anything. If you installed Mawnitor through Shopify, any charge would be billed through Shopify.
Your data
You and your clients keep ownership of your data. You let us process it only to provide Mawnitor, as the privacy policy describes.
For a Shopify store, the store's data stays the merchant's. We have only a limited right to process it to provide the service.
We never use your data, or your clients', to train AI or machine-learning models.
Changes
We may add, change or remove features. We will tell you in advance about material changes to the service or to these terms. If you keep using Mawnitor after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
No warranties, and limits on liability
Mawnitor is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that it will catch every change.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost sales, profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about Mawnitor is limited to the fees you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD 100 if you paid none.
If you misuse Mawnitor or break these terms, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you will cover our reasonable losses and costs from that claim.
Suspension and ending
You can stop at any time: uninstall the Shopify app, remove the plugin and the application password, disconnect Google, or ask us to close your account.
We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why first.
When the service ends for you, your data is handled as the privacy policy says.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the province in Canada where Monkeys at Work has its principal place of business, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of that province decide any dispute about them.
